Keep on Trying

by Renee   Aug 21, 2007

I was a pine last night in my dream
I had rolled over hills and dipped into streams
when the wind picked me up in a warm summer flight,
I saw your smile in the early moonlight...

It's all I need, to keep me fine
Don't worry love, I'll keep on trying-

It wasn't too far before I heard the spring
like the gentle sweet singing of leaves in the wind;
it was your voice, that has long gone astray
when I tumbled to you, I knew I'd found my way...

And you don't need to worry, I'm doing fine
It's just for you that I keep trying

As I lay back down on your soft ground
I looked up to the sky, the lights of your stellar town
you sang the song that I heard from above
and kept me alive with your sweet, caring love...

You don't need to wonder, I'll be fine
as long as I keep on trying...
