Lasting love

by Iola   Aug 22, 2007

You say love is alive
That it is alive in our hearts
But our blind eyes kill
And our minds disregard

You believe love is real
In our blood and veins
But not if someone steals
And then love causes pain

You want to see truth
In love and all its glory
Isn't love suppose to sooth?
Love on earth gets boring

The lasting love that you are seeking
May be a second or a decade away
The kind of love that doesn't cause bleeding
Exists near the oceans where no one can play

With your feelings and soul
Far away from the place we know
If you want lasting love and want to feel whole
Take your love and row and row and row

Away from here
