Its a frustration

by Shirani Graham   Aug 22, 2007

Girls convent and boys college placed at a different sides
She and I have to cross the pedestrian bridge to reach school
We share a smile every morning when we cross on by, we exchange a simple 'hello' without hesitation
Our short and sweet words encouraged love to grow high
Then exchanged novels enclosing love letters inside
Our love ascended into a professional understanding
All those drops of love turned into an ocean
Time passed, school examination began and ended in success
Both passed successfully and were raised for higher studies
Later, due to unavoidable circumstances, she did not attend school
I was wondering as to what had really happened to her
Days, weeks and months passed, yet I had difficult in tracing her
A couple of years passed, there was no any smell of her
And one day while I was at a nearby shopping mall
to my surprise, I saw her carrying a small baby
doing shopping with her partner
To me it was a massive shock and a deep sorrow
Oh! my God! what is this I am looking at ?
This meant she was wedded to another man, yet moved on from the love I share with her
I can't and I can't bear it up !
Drops of tears fell from my cheek and rolled down to the floor
She left her heart with me, but her hands were with another.
Finally, this love ended with a very big frustration..

This is so sad, yet so typical.
girls can be just as bad as boys when it comes to love.
