Death by Heartache

by ben thompson   Aug 22, 2007

A broken heart wracked by agonizing cries.
Echoing through consciousness compounded by lies.

Journey through heartaches lonely rotten core.
Searching for answers, finding only closed doors.

Lost in eternity's forest stranded all alone.
Destiny frowns upon me, scared I'm on my own.

Trees shimmer in the breeze across stars untamed.
Compassion beat out by pride, only me to blame.

Will broken and shattered thinking of a way to die.
Devastated by darkened solitude, awaiting my good byes.

    Ben
What a fantastic piece. The emotions cry from your words.
Trees shimmer in the breeze across stars untamed.
Compassion beat out by pride, only me to blame.

Will broken and shattered thinking of a way to die.
Devastated by darkened solitude, awaiting my good byes.

These lines cut right through my heart.
    Excellent!
    Love Cindy
