A love poem for Kip

If you ever need me call me on the phone
I apologize if I'm not there
Don't you feel sad don't you ever feel alone
Just know in your heart that I do care

I'll be there to love you and understand
If you ever need an answer I'll try my best
We'll be together through air, sea, and land
You'll always hear my heart beating through my chest

I will love you forever and beyond the end
You are the one I think of each day
You are not only my lover but my best friend
In your arms I will forever stay

December 2005 is when it started
You called me cute I just had to smile
And each of our hearts never parted
I can't wait until we walk the aisle

It's been a long time and more years are to come
I will take your kiss and say I do
We know husband and wife we'll become
When we began you gave me construe

Yeah that last line let me know if I'm not using that word correctly. It's not really a word I'm use to using so I wasn't sure if I had to change it to make sense of it. Like how run can become running or things like that. Let me know if I don't have it right. Thanks!
