Memory Douglas Sherman

That day the leukemia took you from me
The day you died the day I wanted to die
The day I saw you laying in the casket
That fine summer day
The one who gave me strength
The one who gave me love
The one who was like a father to me
That day I lost my best friend my teacher
The one who inspired me I was not worthless
The one who told me GOD loves me
That day you left behind a legacy
That day you left a wife and two kids behind
That day you left more than that behind
That day you left you taught me true love
That day you left I felt a piece of me die too
That was the day I asked God why him?
That day I did not get my answer
That day I gave thanks he loved me
That day I asked God why you take everyone I love.
That day I did not have an answer
Today I know because GOD needs a teacher like you in heaven.
