Where I'm From

by Faye   Aug 23, 2007

I am from Wheatland,
From hard winds and horse stables.
I am from a land full of grass and flowers
[Hot, Spicy
The food in My Mouth]
I am from a rodeo life,
Life or Death.
Whose Heart's reaching for the stars,
Making My soul come alive!

I'm from a family of five siblings,
From three sisters and two brothers.
I'm from the wanna-bes
and the "I don't Cares".
From your grounded to Go outside.
I'm from the dark corner of my room,
with My stuff animal teddy bear,
and a life of Broken dreams.

I'm from a class of poetry,
rhythm and rhyme.
From just words,
or words with meaning...
Spoken from the heart.
A notebook hidden in my closet,
full of love and hate.
A paper full of lost words.

I'm from a wonderful Woman,
Who created a child.
Writes a poem of a family tree,
With New Leaves.
Just starting to Begin.
