Essence of Humanity

Did you know that people are people no matter what?
Whether they live in a mansion or a tiny straw hut?
It hurts when you're insulted,
Like it does when you're cut.
Between suffering and happiness is a very thin line
That's where they are when somebody says, 'I'm fine.'

It's not what's good for
himself
herself
myself
yourself
In and of itself.
What it all comes down to
From my point of view
Is total happiness.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
