Glimpse of a Kiss

by Kristin   Aug 24, 2007

A glimpse of a kiss
A gentle soft smile
Clasping on to fantasy
Clutching desire

Bearing all flaws
Suppressing any urges
Independence is a virtue
Or deemed as a threat

Unable to grasp reality
Indulgence in lustful passion
Restraining the light of heart
Forcing myself into suffering

Twisted in remorse
Embracing tainted pleasures
Alone I sit
Weeping in acts of pathetic

Seeming to possess everything
But in reality an empty store
Dreaming a vision
That appears to be so far out of reach

Its growing farther
And its light is going dim
That soft glimpse of a kiss
Never will I be able to feel
