The best deceptions

by Cotton Candy Clouds   Aug 24, 2007

*this poem is dedicated to my x-boyfriend Brandon (i hope your happy with her...)*

I heard about all your party's and the drinking,
but i was just so naive, not even thinking.
I didn't expect you to do something you hate.
I guess this is what everyone must mean by fate.

You would always claim you were out with your friends,
when really you were rolling with her in your Mercedes Benz.
I hope you two had fun and don't worry, the pain hasn't even begun.
You should start to really feel it now, because we are so much more than done.

You'd say "baby im just tired" and i knew that was your way of saying goodbye.
Then you'd go over her house looking oh so fly.
Are you seriously blind? Can you really not see how this affects me?
I didn't know you wanted that bad to be free....

Now, i know you'll want me
back but you need to let me be.
You've caused this heart enough pain.
It's hard enough to keep sane.

I do still love you and probably always will,
but remember, this love you killed.
I must say you where very smart,
the way you played my heart.

Now i must move on,
and i will forever be gone.
But don't think i cheated you, really don't worry.
All the best deceptions and clever cover story awards
go to you </3

(this poem really means a lot to me so please comment/rate)

Dang, that boy got what he deserved! I like how the narrator realized it was his fault he was cheating and not just the other girl's. This was really good. Better luck in the future!

    Dear Tabi,

All cheaters only cheat themselves in the end.
They miss out on true love, because deep down you always feel when you stumble upon a flirt. Be very happy it came out before you went in too deep. Some young girls find out after they marry or sometimes even after they have a child with a man like that....
You seem like a fine catch to a deserving man to me and much to good to hang out with the loser you described in this poem.
*handing over lots of girl-power* ;)

    Hugs,

    5/5 Ingrid
