Love, A Confusing Thing

by Alissa   Aug 25, 2007

It's a confusing thing,
the feeling of love.
Holding that one person so close,
that you're afraid to let go.
That you wish you could hold time,
keep it in your hands.
For you to control it,
for all you need is that one moment,
to last a lifetime.
That you just need to hear them,
and your heart does the rest.
You start to see them,
and feel them subconsciously.
The highlight of your day,
is when he made you laugh.
Made you smile so big,
that your cheeks began to hurt.
Soon he consumes your heart and soul,
his words aren't just letters,
they become a story to you.
That you want to read until the end,
yet you never want it to finish.
You want the climax to come,
see how it turns out.
If you will finally meet this man,
if you can finally feel his lips on yours.
But the story is just beginning,
the suspense kills so bad.
But with all the pain,
you would rather endure more
than have to live a moment without them.
You see love,
love is when everything is normal,
as boring as every given day.
But when you talk to them,
it's as if...
that day has become perfect.
Like nothing could ever go wrong,
and you want it to keep going.
Yes,
love is a confusing thing,
but I would have it no other way.
