Red Dress

by xoxShorteexox   Aug 25, 2007

Suffocating on all your words,
Choking on your every line,
Coughing up blood from all the knives,
You stabbed in my heart; yeah, the truth kills.

I woke up lying in a cold unfriendly place,
Only to find I was all alone; forgotten soul,
I'm inside your heart, an empty cold place,
You were so intent on killing me; stab me with another knife.

I'm losing all hope and faithful in this world,
I hope your every wish has come true,
I'm nothing without you; I'm dead inside and out,
Let me give you the last knife to stab me with.

I'm suffocating on morphine kisses and untamed lies,
You've tainted my eyes with your needles of pain,
My heart is bleeding for your every movement,
I'm missing you, but I'm dying for you; lost in translation.

I'll finish what you started and what you obviously wanted,
The death of my everything is yours for the taking,
I'll put on my favorite red dress; no one will see the blood,
And I'll slice away my pain for your desires and wishes have come true.

Ah...I think I just fell in love. Not with you, the poem. Another gorgeous piece of work by yourself. The final stanza was nearly breath-taking. The poem overall truly made it's point, and was very effective.
    And I'm not even over-exaggerating.
