Forbidden Love...

by Lex   Aug 25, 2007

You dare not to answer,
as in the night she whispers your name.
Your love for her is forbidden,
and neither of you are to blame.

You say her name so sweetly,
always tell her that you care.
And even when you're dreaming,
you wish she could be there.

But something always stops you,
when you want her by your side.
Something that controls you,
so that it's your love you must hide.

But then you know deep down inside,
this will always be true.
No matter what you say or what you do,
she'll always love you too.

I love this poem. I am in this situation myself and it makes me feel on top of the world and at the same time so sad because I have to hide my feelings.
You have penned it down so well, great job!

    Best wishes,

    5/5 Ingrid
