Goodbye

by Erica   Aug 25, 2007

Standing beneath all the places you left me
Watching my face turn to dust
I'm still right here waiting for you to return
Covered in ashes and rust

I'm watching you leave, all alone and afraid
Knowing that you wont come back
Why have I become so damn foolish for you
Coloring you when I'm black

I'm dying beneath all the pain that I've held
Broken and bruised from the strife
It's taking some courage to breath my last breath
Knowing I need a new life

I'm leaving your memories all in the past
And soon enough, they will die
Have you too been waiting so long just like me
To hear each others goodbye?

Some of the lines in this should be put into movies ... but not those, lol

Oooo! i love the imagery in this one. and those two last lines. though my absolute favorite line would have to be 'Coloring you when I'm black.' just amazing.
