Why Wake Up?

I know this isn't a poem about life but i couldn't figure out what to put it in

i awoke from sleep
lost and confused
my spirit beaten
battered and bruised

my body hurt
my mind sore
a lonely mariner
on an alien shore

what is the reason
i am alive
to really live
or mearly survive

don't get me wrong
I'm not really sad
just lost in a mystery
thats driving me mad

day by day
i search for release
building the puzzle
piece by piece
