A beautiful woman with everything and more
An intoxicated husband that just staggered through the door
A heavy table hauled at her and bottles broken on her head
And this what he wants? Does he really want her dead?

A black eye, a cut lip, a bruise upon her cheek
A kick to the knee, a smack to the face, anything to make her weak
Hurt without a cause, and she wonders why she stays
Is it love for this hate filled man, or is it fear that ruins her days?

She's sore for days, she hurts so much, so why can't she let go?
Loving her man was always priority, now he's become her foe
Blonde hair shines like heaven, but her life has become hell
She knew something was up, since the first time that she fell

Pale skin and green eyes, a face of love and grace
A blow to the mouth, a smash to the head, and she looks like a disgrace
She denies it all, blames it on the drugs
But she knows, nowadays, he gives intoxicated hugs
