Wedding bells

by Katie   Aug 26, 2007

The bells rang out for all to hear,
Ringing loud and clear,
For the message that they convey,
A story of love they portray.

Yet behind that love, a pain,
So many barriers flung far have lain,
That paint the picture of strength and fought,
For a love that could not be bought.

Deeper still you need to search,
To understand the events leading to that church,
For so many hurdles had to be overcome,
Certainly many too high for some.

But through it all his heart stayed strong,
Never waivered or trembled through nights so long,
A character of imense strength, so true,
That finally gave her the reason to live, you.

So the bells rang out for all to hear
Proclaiming a love so loud and clear,
Of obstacles thwarted and love won through,
The story they ring is me and you.

Aww.. a true word spoken.. but a truer love that you two have, as a result. Wonderful poem, Katie. May the marriage be as strong as the love that led to it. xx
