Don't Sleep

by Cenito   Aug 26, 2007

I cried and you held me so close,
I told you my secrets and you understood,
I asked you to let me trust you and you never betrayed me,
I gave you a smile and you responded with three.
I have fallen in love and you told me its gold,
I thought I would die and you told me to keep holding on.
I was afraid and you hugged me tight,
I thought I was lost and you showed me the light.
Now, that you are no longer here
I reminisce of what it used to be.
I wish that I could go back to where we sat together
I want to be the girl, who cried,
I want to be the one that needed your help
But most of all I want you to be here with me,
I don't want you to be dead!
I want you to hug me again, to tell me it's all right,
And maybe this time I could be the one giving advice.
I would tell you to be careful with drinking,
I would ask you to not move to a new country,
I would tell you to not go to sleep on that specific night,
And I would tell you to please take care of yourself and do not die.
