Be You

by Aaron Deevers   Aug 27, 2007

Can I say people know me?
Can I say I have accomplished all I wanted?
Can I say that life has been good for me?
Can we all say these things?

Life has thrown many curves at me
Some missed and others have nailed me
I've gone through so many years
So many years of pain and suffering

Now I have changed
I look at life in a new way
I no longer care what others think
I no longer try to be someone else

As many try to do the same
I say this
Look deep inside on you
Try and find the inner you
Ignore what others label you
Or what others want you to be

Life wants us to be ourselves
God wants us to be ourselves
So why don't we just do that

Being gothic or nerdy
To being popular and gorgeous
We all have a reason to be here
A reason to help others

Don't be a label
Be the inner you
Be the person you want to be
Live life to the fullest

A very good message, one we should take too heart, but too often don't.
    This peice was penned well.
