It's So Cold Inside

by Mezmeryz   Aug 27, 2007

The smile,
That brightens up your day,
So for that moment,
You have nothing to say.

The warmth,
That overwhelms your being,
So for that moment,
It's not about what you're seeing.

Her smile,
That brightens up your day,
May cover up cracks,
That under the surface lay.

Her warmth,
That overwhelms your being,
May be heat,
From a furnace you're not seeing.

And her face,
That breaks into a smile,
Can reflect her heart,
That's been breaking for a while.

And her eyes,
That try so much to hide,
Give a message,
That 'it's so cold inside'.
