Until the End

by Beauty Within These Pages of Darkness   Aug 27, 2007

I live a life of sadness,
There is no such thing as fairness.
I want to go back to society,
But that would be a rarity.

A chance is what I need to be givin'
Please god, let me live the life I want to be livin'
Let me make the right decision,
I want to prove myself, and be forgivin'

You know what I did was so wrong,
But believe me son; I've been inside far too long.
At the time I thought it was funny,
I had to burgle houses, to make some money.

It was the only way to get you through school
Son, I wasn't really a fool.
I was only looking out for you,
You know that what I'm sayin' is true.

I know I've been sent down, to serve a 20 year sentence,
Can't be showin' any repentance.
But at least I got you off the dope, and onto the right track,
For me though, there is no turning back.

Son, you are a person I can be proud of knowing.
Knowing that by my side, you'll never be thinking of going.
You are someone, on who I can depend,
To support me right until the very end.
