I know you hurt me
even though you said you never would
but i guess I'm a big softie
you never know, this could be good

you explained to me what you where going through
what caused you to place this pain upon me
you promised you where always true
and never meant for this pain to be

you asked me if you still had a chance to get me back
and at that moment you took away all the pain
i really wasn't sure how to react
but i knew that everything was about to change

i understand everyone makes mistakes
and hope people will be able to forgive
with this one you caused a heart brake
but with you back to help me through i think i can live

so i guess what I'm trying to say
is i will give you a second chance
but i hope never again you will betray
and we can rekindle this romance
