She's Blindfolded

by Ryan Watkins   Aug 28, 2007

You probably couldn't see
You really had no clue
You thought I was done
But I was far from through

I saw forever in you
I saw a girl I could love
You made me laugh and smile
You were like a gift from above

I guess you thought I shut the door
But trust me..it wasn't locked
I just wanted to see if you would try to open it
But I guess not

My heart wants you
My mind hates you, I'm split in two
I don't know if I should fall in love
or live my life without you

You have everything I want
but everything I despise
Sometimes I can't tell the truth
From a bunch of lies

Tell me what you want
Because I feel like I'm in a game
I need to understand you
Or I'll only have me to blame!

I love how i can feel your pain in this poem. there is nothing greater than to read a poem where you can actually feel the emotions yourself and get an idea on how the author feels. very nicely done
