Lost inside

by TheWiseRose   Aug 28, 2007

I've lost you, my love
Tell me, what have I done?

I'm trying to stay you inside
They come creeping in during the night
I'm drifting away from the light
Without you I often find them
Next to me lying

I see the color red in every turn
Feeling something inside of me burn
Tempting to join them, Oh I need a cure

I've lost you, Father
Tell me, am I too far?

Whose voices should I listen to?
Where am I heading to?
I know you love me and I do too
But it's much more complicated now

The more I search, the more dead ends I find
And it forces me to pick the path you are not on
Wish it was simple like it used to be
With all of the Santa Clause and Easter Bunny

I've lost myself, Lord
Send me something from above
Is this supposed to be the way, my love?

(my first poem...a lyric kind, really.)
