The Last Leaf in Autumn

by Ciandestine   Aug 28, 2007

The stone walls that confine me are covered in ice,
Black spiders were in me, they left for warm blood.
This wet stone floor has has crumbled, I'm falling and there is no end.
The only thing that falls faster is the rain
falling into dark, nothing, sliced in half be shards of glass,

Broken

I drop my head onto the grass, blurred graying clouds
angry, swirling, look down
stuck under a flashing blanket, condemned to the 7th level
The black that bubbles inside me oozes out red
For the first time in forever I smile
the ticks continue, there all I can hear
my Phoenix is missing,
my prince is dead
the spirits are laughing inside of my head
the clouds get much darker, my vision is smaller
I'm seeing through a speck.
the birds have stopped singing,
dropped dead by my side
it's there we lay together
it was there there that we wed.

Amazing. Your imaginary is so amazing. Even thought it's abit hard to understand the story behind it, but it creates sad atmosphere right away that stays even after finishing the poem. Touching and very beautiful.
