A Year Has Past And So Have You.

by Lonesomeme   Aug 28, 2007

Whisper into my open ear.
I shall listen to only you,
If only I could keep you near,
Keep me closer to lonely you.

Upon broad shoulder is your fear,
Defending, as men boldly do,
I shall listen to only you.
Whisper into my open ear.

Make your intentions crystal clear,
For I shall follow only you.
My heart beats against lonely you,
If only for another year,
Whisper into my open ear.

I love this poem a lot, because of
how you write, but also because this
poem reminds me of a recent loss I
have experienced. I enjoyed, it a lot.
    I give this a 5/5!!

Unique style. The 'only s' and 'lonely s' and 'you s' in the 1st stanza make it a little bouncy to read but also add a certain charm. it's a very sweet and sad peom.

The sweet whispers that are told to us seem to enlighten the heart despite the fears.

The part state "Upon braod shoulder is your fear" seems to ring loud and clear.

This is a very moving write.

It was a good poem. A bit repetitive for my taste, but I like the emotions that were present. The flow was good and thankfully you use punctuation. Keep up the great work!
