Who I am

by marilyn marti   Aug 28, 2007

You all need to hear what's at the tip of my tongue
I'm telling you who I was and who I've become
I'm no longer a child, I understand life quite well
I've learned so many things I can't begin to tell
You all think you know me, I think you're wrong
Cause the girl you thought was weak now is so strong
I know I've made mistakes but who are you to judge
You can say all you want it won't make me budge
I am now a fire you can't ever control
I'm asking for my space, so leave me alone
You say I don't know what love really is
Stop telling me I'm clueless, stop acting like this
I am independent, please get it straight
You tell me to hold on, but no my heart can't wait
I need only me, and that is who I am
You think I won't make it, but I know I can.
