The father I've always known

by JaM   Aug 28, 2007

You've been there since I was young,
only three months old,
you took care of me and my brother,
even though were not yours it's told.

You stayed with us for awhile,
eighteen years to be exact,
but now you've moved on,
and your not coming back.

You had three kids with my mom,
that you don't see anymore,
You never come to visit,
ever since you walked out that door.

But we all know that's what your good at,
because you've done it before her.
You have four older kids,
that you also don't see I'm sure.

The father's day that just past,
you only received one card.
That card came from me,
even though life with you was hard.

We never got along,
cause I knew you weren't mine.
But I thought things could be different,
I guess I was just lying.
