Dear Ryan

I can't believe you're gone, it can't be true, Ryan,
Never in my saddest dreams did I ever see you dyin'.
You had such an amazing future, and now its gone,
For you were killed in a car crash at yesterday's dawn.

You have no clue how much you meant to me,
Every time I saw you I tried to set this secret free.
I thought I'd have plenty of time to get to know you better,
But now I sit here crying, as my cheeks keep getting wetter.

You were so perfect, you're future so bright,
But not wearing your seatbelt killed you that night.
Out you flew from the window, and onto the street,
Then rolled over by the car with ever smashing feet.

There you died, drunk and so confused,
If only these drugs and alcohol you didn't abuse.
You'd still be here for me to see time to time,
Now I can't have fantasies of you someday being mine.

Now you're gone, but I know you're in a better place,
Drink and party all you want. No need to continue to pace-
Yourself. I just wish that it were me instead of you,
For you had the entire world to live for. Knew what to do.

You had such a bright future...in law you were gonna be,
Now you're gone forever, but at least you're free.
My dreams of you will continue to go on,
Just hard to believe someone so perfect is gone.
