Wings

by Wings Of Flames   Aug 29, 2007

The sun bleeds out,
Water sparkles near,
Cloaking the world,
In Angel's tears

I watch them hit the pane,
My fingers alone,
But I, always watching,
As your hard as stone,

The grace in my words,
Place them on your heart,
Spread your feathers darling,
And watch me fall apart,

Your halo glimmers softly,
And you've made a choice,
Do you regret the emptiness?
I miss your whispered voice,

My hands quake in fear,
My eyes pull away,
My mouth trembles,
My heart starts to fray,

I told you many lies,
A promise, I unkept,
A wish for eternal,
Serenely you have wept,

My hands quake steadily,
Ripping me apart,
My eyes pull away,
The day I broke your heart.
