Fallen Soldiers (Acrostic)

by Sherry Lynn   Aug 29, 2007

Families left behind
Answering their call of duty
Living in fear while abroad
Living on prayers while gone

Engaging in wars for our country
Never wavering in the choice the made
Seldom sleeping a full night
Oblivious to their own desires and wants

Loving friendships commended
Death constantly knocking at their door
Innocents loss with each gun shot
Everything changes; there heart and soul

Reaching out to help others
Striving to be their best; above and beyond

Such sad beautiful heartfelt words.... it's a shame what these soldiers and their families are faced with day in and day out.
