False Truth

by Michael D Nalley   Aug 30, 2007

False truth to truest lies
Penetrates the thin disguise
Of the one who thinks he knows
What reason, and logic oppose

Faith, hope, and divine love
Has descended from above
To heal the wounds of revolution
Change our hearts through evolution

One day to God has no night
Because God is the true Light
Creation is not in the past
Where there is no shadow cast

Yet the proud still do boast
As if they are more than a host
Of the Love that created all
While the seasons lead to fall

What reason is there to die
If a spirit does not fly?
Does false truth exist in fact?
Or do true opposites attract?

I love these kind of poems, the ones that make you think, and bring back questions we all ask ourselves. Great Job 5/5

Was looking forward to reading this poem since you shared on the discussion board that you had an idea of an oxymoron... and here it is - in all its glory. Fantastic job. I really loved the first stanza the most. Definitely catchy and the rhythm of it was great too. And I liked how you were referring to Creation vs Evolution but it was subtle - not like a heated debate.

    Brilliant. :)

    Michael,
First of all I love any poem that relates to God and his magnificiance (sp). I think this one is an excellent piece and I wish that more people could hear the message and accept the love of our creator.

You have done a great job here sweetie. I am pleased to have stumbled upon this and honored to feel the passion well up inside of you. The passion of love and purity is truly a gift from above indeed.
