Gravity

by Torrence   Aug 30, 2007

I've these delusions of grandeur
And Illusions of love
Spawned from a dream, a long night, and a now empty bottle
Drained and lifeless I lie dreaming
Half insane and high
You know that you are my cocaine
Bring me back to life
With wild eyes
My heart beats much too fast
And I can't figure out
Why the snow is falling up

I have no feeling of time
As I have gone numb
Dumbstruck and blind
I can't figure out how to stand up at all
Much less how to stay straight
How to follow this path that's beaten
I try to navigate by the stars
But they shift with any bit of wind
And slowly the clouds roll in
To blot out the moon and you
And for some reason
The raindrops are falling up

Where is gravity
When I am this lost
Confused and twirling
In the midst of this storm
Where nothing goes as it should
I can't catch the flakes on my tongue
I can't feel the rain on my lips
To quench this thirst
When all is as it shouldn't be
When there is no gravity
