Every girl in the world wants a guy that will sweep her off her feet
Someone that will hold her hand in public and sweep the stray hairs from her face
Someone that is not scared to talk about anything and everything
Someone that wants to watch you fall asleep in their embrace

When I was in high school I used to dream of this type of guy
When I was in high school I felt that I was never good enough
I used to dream that I would mean something to someone
I felt that every guy I liked would look at me and laugh

There is always that one boy in school that takes your breath away
The one that you wish would want you more than a groupie
However he is normally the one that doesn't care or simply doesn't notice
And even if he does he makes you feel like to him you're unworthy

Anyway the point of this story that I should hurry up and reach
Is that every single girl in the world has the right to be swept off her feet.

I met a guy a year ago who was better in every possible way
His looks, bank, personality and the way he felt towards me
I have never been as happy in my entire life, I have almost finished university
Am about to travel with my man and the world at my feet

No girl should ever let a guy make her feel useless and unpretty
Every girl is beautiful and every girl deserves a chance at being happy
I want to thank the jerks in high school, especially my 'highschool sweetheart'
For without their put downs I wouldn't be half the success I am today
