Good-bye, floppy disc.

by david kessel   Apr 30, 2004

Good bye, my floppy friend.
The CD is here to replace you.
I will forever miss you.
You looked so cute
With your square shape.
And a round metallic belly button,
And a big clip at the top.
Many letters and documents
Have been saved onto you.
But, I guess, now,
We have all become greedier
And stingier,
And we want more storage space.
So, your competitor the CD
Appeared on the scene
And slowly eased you out.
You will still remain in the shadows
Or even active in all these old computers,
But your years are numbered.
Good bye, floppy disk,
You will be sorely missed.

  • That was pretty good. I think I would have out that one into the humerous poems section, but that is just my opinion. That poor floppy disk. Say, what happened to the truely floppy disks, you know the really big thin ones? Those were cool too. But I think its the zip drive that will replace the floppy, not just the CD.
