No one would notice if I was gone.

by Danielle   Aug 30, 2007

She sits on her own in the corner every day.
No one would notice if she wasnt there.
She remains silent in the most awkward way.
If she disappeared no one would really care.

At night she would cry herself to sleep.
She was different she just didnt know why.
The pain she felt was like a wound cut deep.
She couldnt handle it and so she would cry.

No one ever treated her mean or unkind.
They just didnt pay her any attention.
They didnt think that she would mind.
They couldnt see past their own pretension.

She had no one to talk to or on whom to depend.
No one would notice if she wasnt there.
She knew this and therefore she felt condemned.
If she disappeared no one would really care.

Her body was found two days after she died.
By a girl who didnt know or understand.
The girl lay above the body and cried.
As she held the girls cold hand.

She cried for the young life lost.
She cried for the cruelness some.
She knew that ignorance came at a cost.
She knew the girls soul had become numb.
