Final Picture

They water and become unfocused
and break this eternal gaze
these eyes hold no other picture,
no memory...

there is love
and you are its only desire
instead, you tear it away.

i saw your light
i felt your tears
i caught your love
but tonight it's nothing
for i crumble within this heart
now it's gone and i can't breathe;
never again.

you were its desire
but it's not enough
i am frozen beneath you
and dreams decay...

they water
they become unfocused
the promise falters
