The Memories Fade (Bedtime Smiles)

by Unrequited   Aug 30, 2007

Words are thin
and the memories fade
bedtime smiles become unbalanced
breaking the light, decrying the night
this story will be buried
under false lips of silent whispers
i embrace this empty silhouette
and your heart will be given
to another...

i am a vision that never existed
you destroyed the power to love
your midnight breath captured the voices
upon which we stumbled...
the question was love
and they whispered "yes",
but on your lips
the answer was wrong,
and you denied yourself that bedtime smile.
your soul will become undone...

and without that love,
without this dream,
bedtime will hold no fairy tales
sleep will hold no treasure,
there is no place to rest.

you lost that smile,
it dies in the wind
and all we wish is to dream...

this story is buried;
no more tales of love.
our dream is over,
just as the memories fade.

    Beautiful.

The only thing that made me stumble was at the end -
    "our dreams is over,
    just as the memories fade."

    *our dreams ARE over
    or *dream is over

I pressed the back button on your profile, not to offend in any way, but then i saw this title.. and i pressed forward.
This was.. immense. It was brilliant, emotional, sad, loving, happy. It was a little of everything in small ways.
I realluy enjoyed this. It's an amazing piece of work

    Cheers x
