Immortality

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Aug 30, 2007

The darkness in this place enfolds
As each sweet tendril shapes and moulds
Night sky above as black as pitch
The gaping void does so bewitch
In empty gaze my soul is caught
Brings me sweet solace often sought
Leaving will and thought entrapped
In twilight embrace I'm closely wrapped
Severing each tie to this cold world
As to oblivion mortal shell is hurled

I liked some of the words, but the poem was a little bit lacking purpose.
