Mythical Illusions (Collab with Timothy R)

by Sherry Lynn   Aug 31, 2007

Look in my eyes and tell what you see
First impressions of blond hair and a pretty face
Can you find the pain hidden deep within me?

Do you see the scars that I have buried
What about the love that I lost long ago
Can you see the fears that haunt me
Or does the surface appear beautiful

Wallking today with my head hung low
Aching to look at the sun
Darkness consumes my crying soul
Why did I have to be the one

Living a nightmare every day
Unable to sleep; constantly awake
Hidden tears within my mind
Tell me how to let sorrow go

Is it written in a book
Or a line within a song
Give to me a healing
To break this myth that endures dearly

Answers come and go
Flying by night; never stopping
Losing control of destiny
Please, won't somebody help me

Take my hand and lead me
Just show me the path to take
I do not like this feeling
It is a mythical illusion I must break

Very Good Work! You will find the answer to letting go someday. It's there, I know....I've found it.

I like it ... some of it doesn't flow perfect and it could rhyme a bit more. but it has some good lines 'Wallking today with my head hung low
Aching to look at the sun
    Darkness consumes my crying soul
Why did I have to be the one

    Wow...
This is amazing collab, I enjoyed in every line.
Whole poem holds equal amounts of endless beauty and sadness. The descriptions and details grabbed my attention from the beginning and I like the great flow of the whole piece.
The poem also contains very deep message.

P.s- Thanks for the dance :)
