Socially Discriminated (Collab with Stephen)

Called one of the guys
never looked at as a girl
just an old tomboy
nothing less nor more
~
I used to play sports;
I can't anymore.
The guys look at me,
and I don't know what for.
~
expected to wear heels
instead of tennis shoes and boots
told to act all "Lady-Like"
and give up what I love to do
~
I think they are afraid of me,
for which there is no need.
I'm just like them, looking for fun;
Why are they mocking me?
~
So I have a license to fish
and who says girls can't hunt
I was raised to be myself
who are you to judge
~
I can't believe they criticize;
Why don't they understand?
I don't believe it's wrong
to be a girl who is a man.
~
Sick of the stereotypes
Tired of disapproval
We live in a world
With too many double standards
~
You think that you're normal?
I think that's absurd.
We live in a place
where it is a free world...
~
Who says your way is right
why can't it be wrong
why shall I change my life
just to make me belong
~

    It doesn't matter what other people think of you and your personality. If people dont love or like you for who you are then F**k them and the horse they rode in on. But if its you that dosn't like yourself then just change that about yourself. Stereotypes are overrated!

    Great!
    I know what you mean by being told to be someone different that what you wanna be. It really sucks and you've showed it perfectly in this poem!
