Rescue her from the dark

by SeCrEt WiSh   Aug 31, 2007

Take one last glance at the outside world before a young girl fades into the darkness. Her spirit crushed with agony, she sighs a hidden cry only wishing deep within that someone will see what lies beneath the surface.
She clutches onto her pillow as tightly as she can, desperate to gain what little comfort it may withhold.
hiding away from a world so filled with darkness she fails to notice the small flicker of light barley even visible..and as time life passes her by she lives bound inside the vary same prison she built for herself so long ago...the one she had promised herself she would never return to. And as she reflects the painful sting of an all to familiar loneliness begins to overtake her...rapping its miserable arms of agony around her frail form.. a voice whispers in her ear leading her to believe she's only getting what she deserves all along.. Unable to take anymore, the girl lets out a helpless cry of despair praying for anyone to hear her desperate plea to be free... To once more feel safe in precious arms of love.. Love... She's not even sure she knows what it is. It never used to be this way... So when did life become nothing but something to long to escape?
She sits staring out the bars...watching as people walk in and out of her cell....some leave sweet smelling flower's and others a thorn...but those lucky enough to truly earn their way into her guarded heart will always be treasured... She holds into to the loss as it serves as her only comfort of those who have gone away..
Every night she turns her eyes upon the sky and prays that someday those close in her life will return...
She knows there is no such thing as happy endings... Or so she's been led to believe due to the tragedy of a world drawing itself in misery.
Yet still there is still a hidden fire burning deep within her soul...every once in a while the flame will try to escape and hope will attempt to break free the rusted bar's of the past.. Something always drags her back as if a strong metal chain as if she were the victim of a criminal bent on keeping her hostage.
And so once again she'll sit upon the window sill and with an aching heart, beg her loving Savior to spare her in his mercy and send for her a rescue....
