Doom

by Francine   Aug 31, 2007

A discouraged heart
Worried soul
She feels the angst
It takes a toll

It wears her out
Defeats her might
Weighs her down
Swallows her fight

Suffocates
Asphyxiates
Kills her spirit
Fills her with hate

She tries to kick
She tries to crawl
The more she tries
The further she falls

Where does she go
What should she do
How does she stop
What she's destined to do?

Hide the blades
She'll find them soon
She'll try to end
Her bitter doom

Can someone let her
Get ahead
Before her heart
Ends up dead

Someone please
Show her the way
Before she's lost
And it's too late
