What`s Left Is Yours, I Promise [Double Ottava Rima]

Holding our secrets up to the skyline,
He slowly reached out and grabbed my hand,
Sighed: "Baby, I`ve been trying to define -
What love is when I`m alone with you and;
There`s only one thought in this head of mine:
Five words: Forever and ever, we`ll stand.
With tears in my eyes I looked at him and said:
"I never thought you could fix a heart that`s dead -

Simply by going and giving it away,
And when I fell, I put my trust into you;
Ignoring all of the words they would say,
Because I knew in my heart, it was true -
I was in love with you, from the first day;
But sitting here, looking in your eyes of blue;
I have one thing to say, I assure you this:
What`s left of me is yours, I promise.
