You've Been Throught So Much In Only One Day

Abbey I wrote this poem dedicated to you and you alone. I am very, very, very sorry about what happened to your parents but I still love you. I just wanted to let you know that I will be there for you and that I care about you. Your one of my best friends in the world and that will never change no matter what happens.

Burkburnett residents are still shooken up after a murder-suicide on Sunday. It's the city's first murder in almost 12 years. Police say 52- year-old Burney Milstead shot his wife, 43-year old Michele Milstead before he turned the gun on himself. It happened at 1406 Red Fox Lane. Police received a 911 hang-up call at about 7:30 Sunday evening. Officers found the residence secure and were unable to contact the residents so they left the scene. About an hour an a half later, the couple's daughters tried to return home but were unable to get inside the house. They went to a neighbor, who called police. Officers forced their way into the home and discovered the bodies in the bedroom at about 9 p.m. Neighbors say they're shocked this happened.. "I know them in appearance and I've waved at them and talked with them walking up the street periodically and everything like that but it's unbelievable that it happened in this neighborhood. Just can't imagine it," Tony Beeler said. Police say the Milsteads had no history of violence. A gun was recovered from the scene but no alcohol or drugs were found. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office will perform the autopsies.

Its still hard to believe that something like this could happen in the small town that we live in, and its even worse since they were both my one of my best friends parents. So please keep her and her little sister in your prayers and wish them luck. They are both currently staying with there aunt but neither of them have came to school since the accident.
