A sleeping death

by Alissa   Sep 1, 2007

In the souls of flesh,
there beats the courageous heart.
One who constantly searches,
looking for the single being.

Passing by every face,
every gesture.
Ignoring or accepting,
another's soulful beating.

There swarms a masquerade,
hiding one's true self.
Stealing a heart,
but leaving behind at dawn.

Yet, with this chaos.
A breathtaking soul reaches.
Seems to grasp your heart,
and capture all magic.

Having absolute power,
in destroying your dreams.
Shattering it to pieces,
yet choosing not to.

He consumes your whole life,
and he becomes everything.
Every second he wanders,
runs around in your fragile mind.

But life reaches perfection,
everything is great.
Finally knowing what desire is,
and fulfilling a heartful wish.

So now my body travels,
meaningless and empty.
Waiting for his beating heart,
and dreaming out of life.

So my heart beats silently tonight,
lonely without a soul.
And I finally reach the point,
when I dream of him, only him...
In a sleeping death.
