Two Angels

by Jo Irwin   Sep 1, 2007

Two beautiful Angels into the world they came
The life of their parents, Colleen and Laura were their names.
Two happy go lucky sisters making Allan and Shirley life complete
The joy they spread in the family would be hard for anyone to beat.
Tragedy struck these two gorgeous girls in the prime of their lives.
Without any warning they couldnt say their goodbyes.
A cruel twist of fate brought their lives to an end
The life they shared as sisters but also very best friends.
The wrongs of the world were shown here last night.
Through the slaying of these girls the darkness has killed the light.
A shadow has passed over their parents,
Their lives will never be the same.
For everything they thought life to be
has now forever changed.
The pain these parents are facing is too much to comprehend
So when the hurt gets too heavy,
please lean on your family and friends.
The loss that you've endured,
can never be replaced.
Your sadness and your suffering,
forever etched on your face.
But if you can remember just one little thing
to help you get through the day
Then listen to me closely and hear every word I say.
Two Angels are now in Heaven
Holding hands and smiling together
remembering their wonderful lives
Sweet memories they have to treasure.
A single tear sometimes rolls down their cheek
As they feel their parents pain
Wishing they could comfort them and take their hurt away.
So when the wind stops blowing
but you feel a breeze on your face
Two Angels have flown down from Heaven
And are holding you in their embrace.
They're wiping away your tears
They're kissing you on the cheek
They're placing their hand on your heart
Their love for you is complete

Two Angels was written when my husbands cousins were killed in cold blooded murder by a monster who should of rotted in jail. I dont usually write poetry but for some reason these words kept swimming in my head and when I put them on paper 'Two Angels' was written. I gave it to their parents to help them find some comfort in this madness
