A Chosen Path

by Sarah   Sep 1, 2007

I have grown up to realize,
that life can take you by surprise.
Theres many things that I don't know,
but that our loved ones will surely go
Relationships can never last,
Our friends become something of the past
We move on so quickly and over cast,
it's hard to understand why life is so fast.

As a child I had no worries, fighting with siblings was a daily thing
But of course I had no idea, what life could surely bring.
As the years quickly progressed, and I became a teenage mess
There was nothing anyone could do, to stop me carving my life in two.

When you don't have much to live for,
you wonder what the point is
I didn't understand that help was there,
I ignored him.
A friend dragged me to church one day,
I battled against what she would say
But that was until I heard the word,
and even then I thought it was absurd

Even though I'd lost my friends, and I was driven around the bend
I soon came to understand that my broken life he could surely mend
God helped me through thick and thin, he lives in my very skin.
Now I help people who of him they have never heard,
So now its my job to get us teens to spread the word.

Aw. the flow and rhythm was nice. and the message was strong. the only suggestion i have for you is to capitalize him and he [in reference to God].

    thanks for the comment.
