Colour Me Again

by Void   Sep 1, 2007

Through drawing the clouds, or writing your smile
Dreaming the ocean, or feeling the wind
Everything comes to me in these shades of blue.
Black.
White.
I think they call this shades of grey.
I think this is my world without you.

Singing songs, and forgetting their lyrics
Reading blank pages, of your lone empty journal
Trying to find your scent, in air dusty and white.
Blue.
Black.
I think they call this shades of grey.
I think this is my world without you.

I love this piece. The use of colors as moods is great, the images and wording are wonderful and the repetition of the ending lines really re-enforces the emotion and meaning of the poem. For most of our lives are spent in shades of grey. This is a very deep, extremely well written piece.

This is so good, its really unique and thats a good thing, its different but in a good way, the wording used expressed emotions well, and the title was so awesomely chosen.
This was so sad yet i loved every line.
    With love, Tara-Kay
