The way to Oblivion

by Catastrophic Beauty   Sep 2, 2007

A river streams down your face,
You whisper "I'm such a disgrace".
Your heart is torn at the seams,
You snuggle in tarnished dreams.

Sinful thoughts haunt you,
Controlling what you say and do.
Bounded by chains - you can't see,
But in your dreams you are free.

Laced up in broken promises,
Falling into a sorrowful abyss.
Becoming foul and rotten,
You'll soon be just forgotten.

I liked the metaphors you used. Maybe a better ending line could be used but other than that it's alright. I'll give it a four. I wish I could tell you more about what to improve on but I think this is just a personal prefrence thing for me.
